Rowland to join Nissan Formula E Team alongside Fenestraz for Season 10

“I’m really excited, it’s a bit of a homecoming for me, back to the place I started my Formula E journey and somewhere I had a lot of success. The team has been on a great trajectory over the last year, with performances improving. I’m confident Sacha and I will make a strong pairing, he showed incredible speed in his first season. I’m looking forward to getting back to work, ready to go and can’t wait to see what we can do as a team.”

I’ll attack this season with a new approach as it will be my second year in the championship, so we’re aiming to hit the ground running immediately. He knows most of the crew so I’m sure he will settle in really quickly and we can work well together to help the team move forwards. Nissan Formula E Team ends Season 9 in the points at London E-Prix

“I’m happy to finish the season with a positive showing. Yesterday was a crazy race with the late red flag and damage at the end. We put in a good performance, we knew anything could happen and were unfortunate to receive the five second penalty which cost us several positions. I’m really pleased with today’s qualifying, third was a great result and one we can be proud of. It was tough with the track being wet outside and dry inside. The outside section was very slippery so we had to be careful. The pace wasn’t there to challenge for the podium, but I’m satisfied to take fourth to cap off a solid second half of the season.”

“I struggled for pace in qualifying all weekend, which hasn’t been the case this season. We tried to stay positive throughout the event but it’s frustrating to end the year outside the points. It’s been a strong rookie season, with pole position in Cape Town, fighting at the front of the field and learning a lot. A big thanks to the team for helping me adapt to the series and I hope there’s a lot more to come!”

“I’m extremely excited for the final race weekend of the year, it’s been a long season and now we’re looking to head into the break on a positive note. It will be my first time racing at the London E-Prix, it’s set to be one of the toughest tracks of the season. We’ve been strong in qualifying recently, we’re just missing a little bit in the races in terms of energy management. We’ll keep working hard and look to finish the season in style.”

“I enjoyed the indoor-outdoor layout when I raced here in 2021. It’s difficult to overtake, which caused some incidents, but hopefully we can avoid them! The podium in Rome was amazing but our full focus is now on London, we’ll push to the limit and look to extract the most out of our car. We’ve been working really hard all season and have been making big steps in recent races, so we’ll look to end the campaign strongly.”

Nissan Formula E Team secures second place in Rome

“I’m so happy with the performance today, we were pleased with qualifying but knew it would be more difficult in the race. I felt really good in the car throughout, it was close on energy but I managed it well. The strategy was perfect, we fought hard and it shows the progress we’ve made as a team this season. To score points on both days is also great, we recovered strongly on Saturday and deserved that top-10 finish. We’ll enjoy this one and look to continue to push for London at the end of the month.”

“I was very happy with qualifying on Saturday on a difficult track and I was feeling good in the lead, but after the red flag there was some confusion over the length of the race and, once we realized about it I had to save more energy than anticipated, which cost us several positions. Today was frustrating with an electrical issue that meant we missed qualifying, but the team did a fantastic job to get us out on track for the race. We clearly had the potential for a strong result this weekend, as proven by Norman. I’m really happy to see him on the podium and hopefully we can compete at the front again in London.”

Nissan Formula E Team returns to Rome for penultimate event of Season 9

“I’m very excited to be back racing in Europe. It’s important that we have a good weekend because it’s a double header and there’s just two race events to go. I’ve not experienced the Rome track before, but everyone knows that it’s extremely bumpy and difficult, so I’m looking forward to getting in the car and hopefully achieving some positive results this weekend.”

“I love the Rome layout, it’s one of the best tracks on the calendar. It’s a proper street circuit, with a bumpy layout. I’ve always had a good feeling at this venue ever since my rookie year. Over the last couple of months we’ve improved our performance in qualifying and the race, and we’re focusing on showing our pace in Rome and scoring strongly on both days.”

“I’m really excited to drive the Nissan E-4ORCE 04 this weekend and it will be even more special in Rome, at my home E-Prix. I’ve been looking forward to this, it’s the highlight of my year! I’ve done a lot of work in the simulator and really enjoyed the track layout, so can’t wait to get out there for real. The FP0 is a one-off session, so it will be an opportunity for teams to get more time on track and prepare for the event. I’m happy to have this opportunity to help the team this weekend.”

Nissan Formula E Team takes points finish in chaotic Portland E-Prix

“We had great pace in qualifying today and I was really happy with the one-lap performance of the car. In the race, it was difficult as everybody was together as one big pack. Managing the energy was really tough, especially when leading, which caused constant side-by-side action as nobody wanted to be at the front. We didn’t have podium pace today, but considering we started third our target was definitely higher than P9, although we are still happy for the points.”

“Once again in qualifying we had amazing speed. To top a strong group and reach the final for the third time this season is a great achievement for me, and I’m very happy with our one-lap performance. It was a difficult race, this track layout isn’t ideal for Formula E cars, meaning that the whole pack bunched together for almost the entire event as nobody wanted to lead and use up their energy. I made a small mistake, locking up and damaging my front wing, which meant we had to box to change it. From then, it was difficult to recover, but we keep the positives from qualifying and move on to Rome.”
