Abbi Pulling and Victor Martins will form Nissan Formula E Team’s line-up for the upcoming FIA Formula E Rookie Test at Circuito del Jarama on Sunday 22 March, which takes place after the inaugural Madrid E-Prix.

This will be the fifth time that the squad’s rookie and simulator driver Pulling has driven the Nissan e-4ORCE 05 and her second outing of the 2025/26 campaign, after completing the Miami Rookie Free Practice session in January. The 22-year-old also has experience around Circuito del Jarama, having topped the timesheets during the first-ever all-women’s test at the track in November 2024.

Alongside her duties supporting the team, the Brit will also be competing in her second full season of GB3 Championship in 2026, after a solid debut year which saw her pick up a podium at Brands Hatch.

On the other side of the garage, Formula 2 race winner Victor Martins takes on his second FIA Formula E Rookie Test with the Japanese outfit, thanks to Nissan Formula E Team’s collaboration with Alpine Racing. The Frenchman’s maiden Formula E appearance came during the Season 9 Rookie Test, where he set the second fastest time around Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit.

Since then, the 24-year-old has completed three seasons in Formula 2, securing 16 podiums, including three victories, and now takes on his maiden World Endurance Championship campaign with Alpine in 2026.

The Berlin Rookie Test will consist of two three-hour long sessions with the first getting underway at 09:00 local time (UTC+1). After a brief break, the on-track action will resume at 14:00, concluding at 17:00.

Tommaso Volpe, managing director and team principal, Nissan Formula E Team: “The upcoming Rookie Test in Madrid will be a great opportunity to keep developing the GEN3 Evo technology since Valencia in pre-season, and we are delighted to have Abbi and Victor with us for the day. Abbi is developing strongly, she’s completed plenty of mileage in the car and her impact in preparation for each race event is constantly growing. She is getting more and more comfortable and improving as a Formula E driver, which is a big positive for both her and the team. We’re also very happy to have Victor back with us after the Berlin test in 2023. He’s an incredibly talented driver and part of our family, as an official Alpine driver in the World Endurance Championship, so we are excited to benefit from his skills and experience while we continue building our relationship.”

“I’m pleased to be teaming up with Nissan Formula E Team again in Jarama. I’m feeling comfortable in the car following my recent outings and the simulator work, so my target is to keep improving. I was able to get up to speed quickly in Miami and Jarama is a track I’ve visited before with Nissan Formula E Team, so it will be interesting to compare myself to the benchmark set there last time. I can’t wait to be back on track with the squad.”

Victor Martins

“I’m really excited to be back with Nissan Formula E Team. I know a lot of the crew, so it will be great to return to familiar surroundings for a productive day of testing. I haven’t driven the GEN3 Evo car before so I’m looking forward to experiencing the all-wheel drive and learning as much as I can. It’s been a while since I drove a Formula E car, but I’ll still look to build on my previous time with the team in Berlin. We’ve been preparing well for the test and I’m sure that we will complete our program together on the day. I’m very grateful for this opportunity and a big thank you to Nissan Formula E Team for believing in me.”
