Nissan power in action in Blancpain Asia and WEC

It was two times the Nissan power on display in Asia this weekend as the KCMG Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3s ran their final race of the year in at Ningbo International Speedpark and the Nissan-powered byKolles team tackled Fuji Speedway in the FIA WEC.

The KCMG Nissan GT-Rs, piloted by Edoardo Liberati, Florian Strauss, Yukinori Taniguchi and Alexandre Imperatori, scored two top-10 finishes in the two races held over the weekend.

The No. 18 of Taniguchi and Imperatori took 10th in race one, and finished just outside the top-10 in 11th in race two while the No. 23 of Liberati and Strauss finished eighth in the second race of the weekend.

The No. 23 duo were caught up in a lap-one, turn-one incident in the first race of the weekend.

The results for the No. 18 machine secured Taniguchi second place in the GT3 Pro Am drivers championship.

The Nissan-powered byKolles team was also in action this weekend, taking on the home of NISMO Festival, Fuji Speedway in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

The team scored their second-best result of the 2018-2019 “Super Season,” finishing fifth with drivers Oliver Webb, Tom Dillmann and James Rossiter.

The next race for the WEC series will be Shanghai, China on November 18. The series will then resume in Sebring in the United States in March, 2019.
