Cape Town E-Prix, South Africa

Norman Nato racing for Nissan Formula E Team in Cape Town

For Round 5 of the 2022/23 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, the series visits another brand-new location, Cape Town. With the stunning Table Mountain in the background, the 12-turn track is expected to be one of the fastest on the Formula E calendar.

The 2.94-kilometer circuit will take competitors through the Green Point and Waterfront districts, and is set to challenge the Gen3 machinery to its limit in the series’ first visit to Sub-Saharan Africa. The track winds its way along the coast and around Cape Town Stadium, the 55,000-seater arena built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Sacha Fenestraz took the team's first pole position of the Gen3 era after a superb showing saw him top his qualifying group and win all of his Duels. Meanwhile, Norman Nato took home good points for the squad in eighth.
